Jane Bahk is a former school teacher and an award-winning media producer. Her own fond memories of playing with empty kimchi jars inspired her to write Juna’s Jar. When she met her husband, she found out that as a child, he played with kimchi jars too, even though they grew up thousands of miles apart. Jane had an oppa who showed her how to catch grasshoppers. Her husband had a childhood friend named Hector who moved away from LA’s K-town to Orange County.
Like Juna, Jane’s always up for a good adventure, especially ones that involve her kids and their jars. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
